Acronis software was very easy to use and very fast too. Only took about 20 minutes from start to finish. The "worrying about doing" was much longer than the "actual doing" ...lol The only real problem was deciphering and figuring out the correct jumper setting on the original drive. Acronis software was very easy to use and very fast too.

The only real problem was deciphering and figuring out the correct jumper setting on the original drive.

After much internet research and consulting with a SONY tech online,
I discovered that the recovery cds will only work to recover the original hard drive. Apparently recovery info neccesary for the cds to work correctly is contained on the orignal hard drive.
The cds will not work on a different drive.
So after more internet research, I found the Acronis software web site.
I purchased the software and will clone the hard drive soon.
